Cookie Policy

This page explains what this website stores on your device, and why. It describes what the site actually does today rather than a list of tools we might add later.

Last updated: 27 October 2026.

What a cookie is

A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to keep. It can hold a sign-in session, a preference, or a record of how a page was used. Pages can also use similar browser storage for the same purposes.

What this site uses today

Nothing for ordinary visitors. The pages you read set no cookies, and this site runs no analytics, advertising, remarketing or social-media code — so there is nothing here to opt out of at the moment. It also loads no font, video or script from another domain; typefaces come from your own device.

The only cookies belong to the WordPress sign-in that our own staff use when editing the site:

A visitor who never signs in receives none of these.

If measurement is added later

Should we decide to measure traffic, this page is updated first, naming the tool, what it records, how long each cookie lasts and how to refuse it. Anything that is not strictly necessary for the site to work will be asked for before it is set.

Controlling cookies

Every browser lets you see, block and delete cookies, usually under Settings → Privacy or Settings → Cookies. Because this site sets no cookies for visitors, blocking them changes nothing for you today; blocking the sign-in cookies would only stop our staff from staying signed in.
